ISSUE 6 ARCHIVE - A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO EATING AND SLEEPING, PORTLAND & DORSETWell, it’s high time that we took a look at one of Britain’s most popular south coast dive locations – Portland and Weymouth. This part of the Jurassic coast has some excellent diving for all levels making it one of the regular weekend trips for dive clubs. However, having got out of the diving RIB, few of us seem to move far from the picturesque scene of Castletown. So here are a few local treats that perhaps you may want to check out and make the most of your stay. |

Not In The Water The Jurassic Coast has some fantastic walks and beautiful coastline. But also worth a visit is the Portland Museum with information on local wrecks and Portland Castle. But go over to the Tout Quarry Park, an abandoned quarry at the north east end of Tophill, which has been turned into a sculpture park with various carvings and artifacts.
